Venice Of The Renaissance. Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese

In the Pushkin Museum opened the exhibition "Venice Of The Renaissance. Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese. From the collections of Italy and Russia". The exhibition presents 23 works, painted by the greatest painters of the Renaissance. In Moscow, the work collected for the first time, and some of them have never been seen outside Italy.
Three great masters of painting – Tiziano Vecellio, Jacopo Tintoretto and Paolo Veronese played a fundamental role in the formation of the European painting of the XVI century.
That their work became a source of inspiration for such masters of the XVII century, as velázquez, Rubens, Rembrandt and Poussin.
The exhibition provides a rare opportunity to see together a unique and priceless work of three master stored in the main museums of Italy and Russia.
The exhibition consists of portraits, mythological subjects, and works on religious themes. In one space contains compositions for private customers and large altar images (the method of painting in which Venetian painters of the XVI century made a real revolution).
Almost all the works came to the exhibition from Italy of the largest Museum collections and churches; a few of the works in the exhibition belong to Russian museums.
