Takeshi Murakami: eccentrics
The Boston Museum of fine arts presents an exhibition of controversial Japanese artist "Takeshi Murakami Line of eccentrics". The exhibition consists of 13 works of the eccentric masters, including sculptures and 50 works of Japanese art X – XIX centuries.

Takeshi Murakami is one of the most successful contemporary Japanese artists. Its diverse activities include art, design, animation, fashion and popular culture.

Contemporary works of Takeshi Murakami mapped to the treasures of the famous collection of Japanese art at Boston Museum. The exhibition shows how the modern vision of Murakami richly modified dynamic conversation with the historical past. This dialogue was made possible with the help of great Japanese art historian Professor Nobuo Tsuji.

Murakami and Professor Tsuji together chose the objects for the exhibition, including paintings and sculpture created by the artist in direct response to the Japanese masterpieces from the collection of the Boston Museum of fine arts. Among them, 35-foot "Dragon and clouds" Sogi sahaku (1763) and scroll Hagee (second half of XIII century) - one of the most famous Japanese art outside of Japan.
