Exhibition April 29 − July 26
Caravaggio. Lute player
On April 29, an exhibition opens in the Borghese Gallery to compare two versions of Caravaggio’s painting "Lute player".
One version of the painting was provided by the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, and the second from Badminton House, Gloucestershire.

To make this comparison more effective, two Lute players will be on display with six masterpieces of the Borghese collection in a single exhibition.

Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio is an Italian artist, a reformer of European painting of the 17th century, the founder of realism in painting, one of the greatest masters of Baroque.
