Amy cutler
In the imagesAmy cutler(1974) Supernatural and often impossible plots are revealed in stunning detail.

Cutler’s compositions range between bizarre and grotesque. Burdened with history, society's expectations, barren labor and their own bodies, Cutler women face extreme, and sometimes strange, physical and psychological consequences. Some figures carry their headless heads, while others cope with incredibly elongated limbs, hair and facial features. In several almost life-size graphic drawings, Cutler breaks the skulls of her heroes to expose their inner thoughts in the most literal sense. Although these situations may seem desperate, Cutler is optimistic about the role of women in society, positioning his work as a study of the “fictional utopia of strong and confident women.”
