The exhibition will feature about 60 paintings by the author of contemporary avant-garde art, written in different periods of creativity.
Vladimir Alekseevich Larev was born on October 27, 1954 in the village of Balabash-Baishchevo in Chuvashia. Fate decreed that for 26 years he did not work creatively. In 2003, the artist returned to art, speaking with a series of self-portraits, in which he immediately declared himself to be a master of an ostentatious situation, as if snatched from a life stream, where everything is guessed and a lot is not agreed. The master’s bold compositions attract the audience’s attention with a deep metaphor, the ability to find an exciting angle, an expressive gesture. The space of his paintings is sometimes specially reduced to the simplest geometric volumes, compacted forms with pronounced ductility. Its color sounds intense, striking with complex modulation. The uncompromising nature of the author's creative judgments is manifested throughout. A large role in his works is played by the grotesque, irony, and outrageous. Of particular importance to V.A. Larev had years spent in France, saturating him with experience of impressionistic vision and expressionistic expression.
