Lyudmila Loboda. Self portrait
At the National Museum. Andrei Sheptytsky hosts an exhibition of Lyudmila LobodaSelf portrait". The exposition covers the period from the late 1960s to the 2010s. From the early "naive" style, the artist organically switched to bold formalistic experiments. Epic landscapes transformed into dramatic plot compositions. Portraits of figures of Ukrainian culture, images of contemporaries, historical portraits, urban motifs, eroticism are the main components of the author's work.

Lyudmila Loboda was born in 1945 in Magnitogorsk. The student and wife of the artist Vladimir Loboda. Higher education was received at the Dnipropetrovsk Construction Institute as an engineer. Acquaintance with her future husband prompted her to engage in creativity. In addition to painting, the artist realized herself in graphics and book illustrations, weaving carpets and tapestries, and making dolls.
