The exhibition "National Art Museum of UkraineModernism in Ukraine". This is an attempt to reconsider the established view of Ukrainian art in the first third of the twentieth century, to fit it into the global context and at the same time to reveal the specifics of the Ukrainian situation. These years were the heyday of the cultural life of Kiev, Odessa and Kharkov. Many prominent artists worked there, numerous trends in art were often of an unusual provocative nature, art production was varied and magnificent.
Many works were first exhibited in the museum's permanent exhibition over the years of independence. The sculpture “Alexander's Image” (1925) by Alexander Arkhipenko, presented to the museum 5 years ago, will be presented.
