Rembrandt & Menzel
Rembrandt van Rijn (1606–1669) was not just a virtuoso of oil painting, he was also an outstanding figure in graphics and printing.

Among artists, Rembrandt found countless admirers and imitators.

Berlin artist Adolf Menzel (1815–1905) studied the work of Rembrandt in the 1840s. Inspired by the style of this great etching master, Menzel, who was trained as a printer, began experimenting with an etching needle.

ThisExhibitionpresents 25 Rembrandt prints and four works by Menzel, which arose as a result of his passion for the Dutch master.
