For the first time in a single exhibition space, more than 70 exhibits will be presented, reflecting the main directions of the Ural art productions - painting, graphics, lacquer painting, Nevyansk icons, copper decorated dishes and artistic bronze, stone-cutting, decorated weapons, and artistic cast iron.
The opportunity to acquaint the modern viewer with the era of crafts was created thanks to the partner museums of the project: the State Hermitage Museum, the Zlatoust City Museum of Local Lore, the Kamensk-Ural Museum of Local Lore named after I.Ya. Styazhkin, the Nevyansk State Historical and Architectural Museum, the Nizhny Tagil Museum-Reserve "Gornozavodskaya Ural", as well as the State Archives of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Mining Museum of St. Petersburg State Mining University.
To truly understand the identity of the mining Urals, it is important to assess the role of industrial production in the development of artistic practices and emphasize the high level of professional training of masters and artists. The exhibition "Artists of the Ural factories" is designed to draw attention to the culture of the Urals during the formation and establishment of regional art centers.
