Adam Smolyan (1921, Lviv - 1987, Sopot) - sculptor, graphic artist, teacher. He worked with different materials: granite, metal, gypsum, ceramics, was fond of photography. The themes of his work were focused on the person, his character, beauty and condition.
The artist drew inspiration from the heritage of ancient culture, primarily Greek mythology. The author used technical solutions of folk craftsmen. His works are dominated by classical themes with a classical form, somewhat cubist and geometrized, with links to a realistic prototype.
