Few artists in Chinese history have turned out to be as mysterious as the great artist Qiu Ying (c. 1494 - c. 1552), whose life and art reveal a number of paradoxes. Although he is one of the most famous artists of the Ming period, almost nothing is known about his life.

"Qiu Ying: Where the truth lies"- The artist’s first exhibition ever organized outside of China and Taiwan. In addition to the masterpieces of Qiu Ying, the exhibition will feature works by his predecessors and teachers, his daughter Qiu Zhu and followers from the early 16th to the middle of the 20th century.
