The Smolensk State Museum-Reserve in the halls of the Art Gallery holds an exhibition of Olga Sergeyevna Malyutina"Delightful routine".

Visitors are presented more than a hundred paintings from the museum’s collection donated to the state in 1967 by Olga Malyutina and her husband, artist, Mikhail Obolensky.

Olga Malyutina has always been true to the genre of still life. The strength of her work is in the emphasized materiality of things. It was achieved, first of all, by painstaking “studies”. Without them, it is impossible to achieve the naturalness and liveliness that Malyutina’s compositions possess - just see her"Lilies of the valley", "Roses" or "Daffodils." Malyutina’s attention to detail, small form, is partly akin to the view of the Dutch masters, who cast out in the XVII century on the paintings all the beauty created by the Creator of the objective world. Especially close to the Dutch "desserts" written with love are those Malyutin works, the main motives of which are images of exotic fruits and precious utensils - items made of silver, glass, and porcelain.
