Publisher Isidro Clot signed a contract with Salvador Dali in the 1970s to create a series of sculptures. In the mid-1980s, the museum acquired a set of cast bronzes that became part of the permanent collection.
In addition, the Spanish group 2049 Obra Contemporanea SA casts original compositions in enlarged versions with a height of approximately 6.5 to 10 feet. Four of these large-format sculptures will be exhibited in the Vanguard Garden. Terpsichore is a gift for the Museum and will be installed on an ongoing basis so that visitors can enjoy this sculpture for many years.
