About the exhibition
In the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art is a personal exhibition of Sergei Ilyin "Terra Silentium (Country of Silence). ” The exhibition consists of paintings from different years and is timed to the 70th anniversary of the birth of the master. The artist's work is the realization of his dreams, a kind of “Book of lost tales about what happened once in the past.” The author himself defines his style as metarealism.

The works of the artist are concentrated on the comprehension of the hidden connections of the real only through through any metaphor. That is, he is an artist-philosopher, trying to understand the secret meaning of the interaction of things.
