In the hall of the auction house "Golden Section" presented a personal project "Spring vibes"one of the founders of the Ukrainian transavangard Roman Zhuk. The main part of the exhibition is large-scale pictorial canvases depicting flowers in which the artist hides a deep allegory. The author also demonstrates several exotic still lifes with which he masterly conveys the sexuality of the male and female essence. The artist often uses surrealistic images, for which some world art critics call him Ukrainian René Magritte or Max Ernst.
Roman Zhuk was born in 1955. He graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. He worked as a teacher at the department of painting. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1987. The works of the author are kept in the collections of the Lviv Art Gallery, the Sumy Art Museum, the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kiev), the Museum of Modern Fine Arts of Ukraine (Kiev), etc. It lives and works in Lviv and Amsterdam. On the author's account - participation in more than 80 art projects.
