About the exhibition
The Albertina Gallery holds the largest collection of drawings by Albrecht Dürer - almost 140 copies. AND at this exhibitionwhich will be supplemented by rented works, will focus on the schedule. The curators will show that Dürer’s drawings were a separate artistic achievement equal to his paintings and engravings.

One of the central works will be the sketch "Hands of the Praying One" (1508) - the second most popular drawing in the world after Da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man". Christophe Metzger, the main curator of Albertina, believes that this is not a preparatory sketch for the altar, as was supposed for centuries, but a finished work for advertising the talent of the master.
