Gallery ProArt Gallery presents a solo exhibition Roman Opalinsky. The artist’s work includes elements of myths, metaphysics, icon painting, archeology, folk art, and theater. The author skillfully combines the golden glory of Byzantine art and the aesthetics of Oriental icons with a touch of French impressionism, creates unique works where the east meets the West: inspired by ancient Orthodox icons.
Roman Opalinsky was born in 1962 in the Lviv region. He graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (Lviv National Academy of Arts) - Department of Art Glass. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Honored Artist of Ukraine. His works are in museum and private collections in Ukraine, as well as in private collections in Poland, Germany, Holland, USA, Canada, Australia, Israel.
