About the museum
The Russian Center of Art is a Kaliningrad private museum, the collection of which is based on Russian and West European art of the 19th-21st centuries. The opening of the new museum is scheduled for 2022. The exposition of the Russian Art Center will occupy four floors with a total area of more than 16,000 square meters. The Russian Center of Art will include a permanent exhibition, space for temporary exhibitions, a lecture hall, a cinema, an educational and multimedia center. The permanent exhibition of the museum will feature masterpieces of Russian art created by such masters as Vasily Tropinin, Ivan Aivazovsky, Ilya Repin, Nikolai Ge, Eugene Lansere, Paolo Trubetskoy, Konstantin Somov and others. The museum's collection is constantly updated. Currently, the "Russian Center of Art" is already conducting exhibition and design activities, declaring itself at various regional and metropolitan venues. For the first time, part of the center’s permanent collection was presented in 2018 at the exhibition “The Golden Age of Russian Art” in one of the halls of the Kaliningrad Museum of History and Art. Pictures from the collection of the “Russian Center for Art” participate in leading Russian exhibition projects.
