The Rostov Regional Museum of Local Lore

The Rostov Regional Museum of Local Lore is one of the largest in the south of Russia.

It was founded in 1937 in connection with the formation of the Rostov region. The museum represents the nature, culture and history of the Rostov region.

Museum collections include more than 375 thousand items. Annually, more than 200 thousand visitors get acquainted with the exposition of the Museum of Archeology, the peoples of the Don, the southern provincial city, and imported exhibitions.
