Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy was created in 1933, when the collections of the former Provincial Museum and the Museum of Antiquities and Fine Arts of the Voronezh State University were combined. Since 1947, the museum has been located in a building built in the years 1777-1779 in the Baroque style according to the project of the provincial architect N.N. Ievsky and is a monument of history and culture of federal significance.

Currently, the museum fund has over 20 thousand items in sections of ancient Egyptian and ancient art, painting, sculpture, graphics, decorative and applied art. Preserving the old values, the museum conducts research, cultural and educational activities, works from the collection of the Moscow Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy participate in exhibition projects of the country's largest museums.
