Giovanni Santi (ital. Giovanni Santi; 1435, Urbino - August 1, 1494, Urbino) - Italian Renaissance artist, father Rafael Santi. Giovanni Santi learned from Piero della Francesca. Santi senior was a court painter at Duke Urbino Federigo da Montefeltro and a high-ranking official, something like the Minister of Education and Culture of his heir Guidobaldo... Giovanni Santi often painted Madonnas and Infants, moreover, perhaps his wife and son, Raphael, posed for him.
