The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan invites you to the Interregional Academic ExhibitionMegapolisto the Hazine Gallery.
The exhibition presents the works of contemporary artists of Samara, Ulyanovsk, St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, Kazan and other regions of Russia.
The theme of the project is a call to artists to fix their own experience of the present. The focus is on the novelty of the daily existence of the metropolis, the crowd of the metropolis, the dynamic movement of the metropolis. The aesthetic experiences of modernity should include the fullness of the impact exerted by modern existence, should pose the problem of displaying modernity as an intermittent and fragmenting experience of time as transitory, space as fleeting, and causality as replaced by random or arbitrary complexes of emotionally colored representations. The perception of the metropolis from different points of view, the intersection of images, with its shocking colors and conflicting neighborhoods, the construction and reconstruction of the city with a view to its industrial and transport development, contributed to the creation of interesting works of art.
