"Rider". 5th Kazan International Biennale of Graphics

The National Art Gallery "Khazine" of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan5th Kazan International Biennale of Printed Graphics “The Horseman”.
The competition program of 2019 was attended by the work of more than 120 artists from 15 countries: Belarus, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, Montenegro, Sweden and Japan.
In the works presented at the Biennale, you can see a wide range of techniques - from traditional woodcuts, etching, mezzo-tinto, linocuts, lithographs, monotypes, etc., to their modern modifications using new materials and methods of processing boards.
The organizers have chosen the motto of the 5th Kazan Biennale “Playing the Theater” - thereby asking the artists a specific theme, while at the same time not limiting them too much in choosing plots. For spectators, the exhibition opens a peculiar world of modern printed graphics with its special plastic language and inexhaustible possibilities.
