Sigalov Flowers

The National Museum "Kiev Art Gallery" hosts the exhibition "Sigalov Flowers", Which is part of the long-term project" Museum and Collectors ". The exhibition includes works from the collection of David Sigalov (1894 - 1985). These are paintings and graphic works by prominent representatives of two artistic associations of the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century - “The World of Art” and “Blue Rose”, connected by the theme of flowers.

Kiev pediatrician David Sigalov has put together a unique private collection of fine art.
The first painting “Portrait of Peter Mikhailovich Golitsyn” by Fedor Rokotov was presented to the Kiev Museum of Russian Art by the collector in 1963. After 10 years, he transferred another 60-odd works. In total, about 400 works of painting, drawing and decorative art went into the collection of the museum by testament.
