One of the greatest contemporary American artists, Philip Guston (1913-1980), uniquely combines personality and politics, abstractness and imagery, as well as humorous and tragic in his paintings.
RetrospectiveGuston, the first in over 15 years, will present a truly balanced look at the artist’s 50-year career. A selection of approximately 125 paintings and 70 drawings will include famous works, as well as others that are rarely seen at exhibitions.
