Weakness for French engravings. Harry Drake Collection

Exhibition June 22, 2019 − March 8, 2020
Exhibition "Weakness for French engravings. Harry Drake Collection"invites visitors to stroll through the streets of Paris and explore the French countryside for a time before cars clogged lanes and boulevards.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, printers drew inspiration along the banks of rivers, in narrow alleys, and along a country road. They watched the life of the haves and have-nots. They recorded holiday and despair. Thanks to the collective interests and generosity of the late St. Paul native and museum trustee Harry Drake, visitors can enter this beautiful, gloomy time machine.
