ThisExhibition dedicated to the recent acquisition of the Seattle Art Museum. One of O'Keefe's early triumphs, “Music, Pink and Blue No. 1,” is the first complete expression of her personal brand of modernism and the culmination of her journey from student to teacher and independent artist.
The exhibit will present the masterpiece of the Seattle Art Museum along with loans from major museums, including the Georgia O'Keefe Museum in Santa Fe and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and will include a narrowly focused selection of early O'Keeffe drawings, paintings from the 1920s and 1930s s.
