Nabida and decor

Exhibition March 13 − June 30, 2019
The Luxembourg Museum in Paris with the assistance of the Grand Palace, the Orsay and Orangery museums took up the difficult task of presenting to the public the decorative works of Pierre Bonnard, Edouard Vuillard, Maurice Denis and other followers of the Naby group.

Their peculiar, joyful and rhythmic works became the answer to the aesthetics of the historical style that dominated at the end of the XIX century. The curators have tried as much as possible to recreate some of the main collections of tapestries, panels, wallpaper, stained glass and ceramics, which were created by these masters, and most of which dispersed over time. However, the search for originals has become difficult because of the lack of documents or photographs.

Everything that experts managed to gather can be seen at the exhibition."Nabida and decor" until June 30th.
