Chen Ke. Present deal - communication with dad

Yuz Museum in Shanghai presents a personal exhibition of Chen Ke "The real deal is communication with dad". The exhibition includes a series of paintings and installations in a mixed technique, inspired by daily conversations with the artist's father, a retrospective of past events.

The author spoke about youth, family and aging, reflecting her understanding of a person. The whole exhibition is a dialogue with dad, filled with images. Fragmentary texts resembling objects and portraits, circled in pencil lines, create a huge field where there are different times and spaces. Chen restored memories of herself as a separate family member and built a family memory structure that incorporates the concept of people and facts. Thus, personal experience was further developed in the family and turned into a profile of the entire social group and collective thought.

Chen Ke lives and works in Beijing. She creates paintings and sculptural works, as well as fashion design. Takes part in numerous international and Chinese exhibitions.
