Yayoi Kusama Museum hosts an exhibitionYayoi Kusama "I want you to look at my future prospects: the plants and me." The exhibition presents botanical works of the artist, as well as many of her self-portraits, starting with the early works and ending with modern ones. They show how the artist overcame obsession with her self-image and alternative representations.

Yayoi Kusama was born in a family that owned a seed nursery. Being a little girl, she often went to the flower fields with her albums for drawing, developing her passion for the image of the world. For the artist, the plants were both favorite objects and frightening figures, inspiring fear of hallucinations and reflecting her mental state. The exhibition provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the world of creativity Kusama.

Yayoi Kusama (1929) is a modern Japanese artist who works in sculpture and installations, in painting, theater, film, fashion, poetry, fiction and other arts. Her work is based on conceptual art and shows some signs of feminism, minimalism, surrealism, art brutus, pop art and abstract expressionism.
