I have exhibited several times with an artist collective based in Rotterdam (established 1916) and at the municipal museum of Waalre, southern Netherlands with a newly formed group, Pintura. You can view my work and motivational description on my website, www.marteart.com. You can also purchase my digital work online at www.fineartamerica.com, where I am listed under my artist name Marte van Osch, with profile description as follows: Marte has lived in a number of countries over the years (born in Singapore, raised in the Netherlands and Australia) and has travelled widely, currently moving mainly beween an urban lifestyle in Rotterdam and coastal Spain, loving the relaxed sun-soaked life in a small village in the province of Almeria. Her focus in art is to reflect and capture the essence of a place or person, either directly or via photography, translated into new forms of expression. While she has studied art intermittently through the years, she is only now setting out to explore in depth how to communicate thoughts, ideas and feelings through various media, needing to redirect her focus from business and science to freeing up ideas and images and committing them to paper, canvas and via digital means: mainly abstract and expressionist work, with occasional flights of fancy into caricatures and distorted photographic images, with the intention of conveying that sense of wonder and delight in the beauty of the unexpected (and often unremarked) to others.
