Biography and information

Theater artist and schedule. Honored art worker of the RSFSR (1965). He graduated from the State Institute of cinematography (1928). Author of several movie posters.

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Honored artist of the RSFSR.

One of the founders of Soviet animation, artist, writer and Director Since 1923 illustrated books for children, among his most famous works - illustrations for the works of Korney Chukovsky and Samuil Marshak. Upon completion in 1928 of the SCC, he worked in multimaterial film Studio "Mezhrabpomfilm". As an artist and animator Vladimir Suteev involved in the production of the first animated films ("China fire", "1905-1925", etc.). Together with the Director L. by Atamanova in 1931 he directed the film "across the Street", which became his debut as a Director. In 1936 Vladimir Suteev worked as a Director at the Studio "Soyuzmultfilm". Among its films - "a Noisy voyage" (1937), "the Fly-Tsokotukha" (1941), he was a writer and artist of the movie "Brave sailor" (1937) and "`Arrow` flies in a fairy tale" (1955). Script by Vladimir Suteev put cartoons "When lit the Christmas tree" (1950), "the Magic shop" (1953), "the Snowman-mailer" (1955), "the Ship" (1956), "Peter and Red riding Hood" (1958), "Who said `meow`?" (1962), "Fisher cat" (1964), "Tails" (1966), "We are looking for Blot" (1969), "Bag of apples" (1974), "Santa Claus and the Grey wolf" (1978) and many others. Suteev also the author of many books for children, which he illustrated himself, among them - "Who said `meow`?", "Kitten named woof", "cat-Fisher", "Peter and Red riding Hood".
