Alexander
Vasilyevich Shchipitsyn

Russia • 1897−1943

Painter. In 1925-30 he studied at the Mosk. Later in A. Drevin, R. Falk, and D. Shterenberg. From 1929 to participate in exhibitions. He lived in Moscow. Member of NY OST (con. 1920s), "Growth" (1929). In 1929-30 he worked. Vladimir Tatlin on the apparatus "Letatlin". Author of landscapes, portraits – "Spring" (1933), "Kerzhenets. Herd in the woods" (1938), "self-Portrait" (1942) and other works.

He studied at the Nizhny Novgorod state art College of A. Kuprin (1921), at the VKhUTEMAS in Moscow in A. Drevin, R. Falk, and D. Shterenberg (1925-30). In 1930-32 he worked in the Studio of Vladimir Tatlin in the Novodevichy convent on the design of "Letatlin". Participated in exhibitions since 1929. Entered the Society of easel artists (OST) (late 1920s), in 1929 in "Growth". Works are in state Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) and other collections.
