Pavlovich Albrecht

Russia • 1872−1942

Student of the Academy of Arts from 1899 to 1908 30 October, 1908 the title of the artist for the painting "the Vision." (Kondakov)

The artist-restorer. The student of I. E. Repin school of M. K. Tenisheva in the Imperial Academy of arts (1899-1908). In 1914-1942 - senior restorer at the Hermitage.

A very nice man was an artist Leonid p. Albrecht. He was not married, lived with sister at the workshop on Galernaya street /against the Repin Institute, care and attention to the sister was exceptional, but he was very modest and silent, could in the evening not to say a word. Loved to play with the V. IIR. (Schultz) in chess. He wrote a lot, but the paintings were sold, few, they, too, were the autumn mood. I really liked one of the paintings: Corner of the Pavlovsk Park. Against the dense dark green five marble steps and on the parapet a low vase with lush blossoms in bright nasturtium. Still regret not buying this painting. (From the memoirs of T. L. Grigorova (born. Rudkovskoy)
