作品描述 «Look into yourself»
Think about how much contradictory guidance we receive in a single day through media, TV, magazines, instagram, telegram, social expectations, work, friendships, relationships?
How many I come across in the networks, the eternal struggle of beautiful and "not so" bodies. Some put their slim figure, others lay out lush forms, thereby condemning the inequality and trying to explain something, prove. Hmm... (chuckles)
⠀
And so you try to balance on such arbitrary standards of how you should live your life, feeling guilty all the time, because you can do it harder, faster, stronger. ⠀
⠀
As a consequence, we are all great at doing just one thing - dissociating with our bodies. We don't look at ourselves in the mirror, we forget to eat, we try to be productive even when we feel sick, we deny ourselves physical activity, we never let our bodies be naked. This fear of our bodies and our shapes affects both our confidence and our self-esteem, yes even the things we think we deserve. ⠀
⠀
I suggest that we all start to get naked more often, to look at ourselves in the mirror with our own eyes, not through a phone camera, not through judging others and even, not through compliments and the amount of attention from the opposite sex. You will begin to realize how beautiful your body really is. Postures that made you feel shy before will become habitual, and the negative inner monologue sooner or later will disappear. It will simply no longer fit in your mind and body, because you have made efforts to make these barriers no longer exist.
⠀
You are beautiful and cool only if you look at yourself through your own eyes!
