This painting is painted in oil on canvas, H 80 * W 60 cm.
The painting depicts the old Slavic tradition of tea drinking using a samovar.
The main focus of the painting is to convey the mood of a homely atmosphere. The atmosphere of rural life is emphasized by the national embroidery in the background.
To achieve these goals, an impressionistic style was chosen that does not distract the viewer with unnecessary realistic details.
Separately, it is worth noting the technique of a painting. Here are used rough brush strokes, which at first create the impression of ease of work. But thanks to this, it was possible to achieve greater picturesqueness and avoid photorealism, which nowadays painting suffer. In one area of the painting, only 2-3 exact brush strokes are used.
