The moment before the jump Icarus he looked back and met the surprised gaze of a girl he didn't know. She seemed to be in the Labyrinth for the first time and didn't understand what was going on.

- No time to linger, he thought regretfully.
With each passing minute, the canvas stretched in the wall niche lost its brightness and depth, turning into an ordinary piece of cloth. The edges of the portal began to crackle and gradually shrink.

The small mechanical wings on Icarus's back spread out to maneuver and immediately he felt himself start to work levitator. His whole body became unusually light and seemed to float a few millimeters off the ground. In a few leaps, he covered the distance to the portal and burst into the blue sky, behind which lay a new, unknown world.
