Born in 1959 in Central Asia in the Tien Shan mountains in the family of a geologist and meteorologist.
Vigorous creative activity, tireless work on oneself - the eternal search for true creative personality of the means of ultimate self-expression, the enormous artistic and personal potential of Alexander Tyurin allowed him to take his place in the honorary range of the most famous and vibrant artists, not only in Uzbekistan, but also beyond.
The artist received a fundamental art education. First, in the Republican Art College named. PPBenkova in Tashkent (1977-1981) in the picturesque department in the workshop of Pravdyuk V.I. and Moiseeva G.V. In 1990-1991, he continued his studies in the assistant at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin at the Department of Drawing and Painting. The work of Alexander Tyurin is so many-sided that you can see academic works at his exhibitions, mostly portraits, demonstrating an excellent academic school at the beginning of his creative career, to the last ones that already characterize him as an established master with his own distinctive and pronounced artistic manner and broad outlook and a wealth of intellectual knowledge.
In the 90s, Alexander lives and works in Moscow. Cooperation with leading Moscow galleries and participation in major international art projects detonated the rapid growth and the formation of the artist’s personality.
Deeply studying the best world traditions - ancient Russian, classical European, realistic and modern art - the artist pays tribute to them and creates works, for example, on biblical themes, an “Italian” series, modern conceptual works, and others. still life However, he does not make a sharp boundary between them. Sometimes the landscape is combined with still life, and then there are compositions full of inner life, with a number of emotional and artistic associations. The artist skillfully stylizes forms, most often through cubist volumes, masterfully developing the contrast of color relations. And then they are either restrainedly delicate, or frankly decorative in the use of bright and saturated colors - for example, warm or sultry yellow, giving out also the presence of oriental mentality.
All the works of the artist are distinguished by artistic completeness, inner personal and visual aesthetics, high artistic taste.
