Description of the artwork «We are parts of a whole»
Once upon a time in one book I came across a very interesting expression of the Lakota Indians, it sounded like "mitakuye oyasin". Literal translation means “all my connections”, “we are all connected”, but this does not reflect the whole philosophy of this expression. In fact, it’s very difficult to translate, and the meaning can be interpreted as the connection of everything with everything in this world, the connection of you with nature, with people, with the planet and plants, with stones, with heaven, the connection of cause and effect, the connection of life and death, everything interconnected ... The very awareness, or rather an attempt at awareness, really struck me and hooked me, I think for life, this is such an Indian Tao.
