The art of hearing: the painting which sings. Part II
The heroes of this "sounding" compilation are the model in Willem de Kooning's portrait, the magnetism of the three of Mark Rothko's colour fields, Sandro Botticelli's multi-figured time of hope, William Turner's pictorial progressive rock and Jan Brueghel the Elder's work Hearing, which shows that the artist put the art of hearing ahead of other senses.
