Irnimite, or blue jasper, is a rare stone endowed with magical and healing properties. This young rock is a variety of jasper and quartz. The stone is mined at the junction of the two rivers Nimi and Ir in Khabarovsk Krai.
With the help of the blue jasper, magicians could influence the fate of people who were at a distance from them - the stone intensified the result of the magical influence. The inhabitants of the East worshipped the rock, believing it to be a symbol of beauty and wealth. The Greeks considered the stone the patron saint of young mothers and newborns.
