Lynette Yadom-Boaki - widely known as one of the most prominent artists of her generation - is a British artist and writer, known for her mysterious portraits of fictional people.

Her paintings often refer to historical European portraiture - especially Thomas Gainsborough, Francisco de Goya, John Singer Sargent and Eduard Manet - but her subject and technique are definitely modern. Focusing on portraying imaginary black characters, Yad-Boaki's paintings raise important issues of identity and representation.

ThisExhibition will unite more than 80 paintings and works on paper from 2003 to the present.
