About the exhibition
Artist Gary Logan explores the relationship of humanity with the Earth and its elements through dramatic lighting, atmospheric ambiguity, bright colors and rich textures. He finds visual and conceptual inspiration in two rich sources that use the landscape as a means of studying the human condition.

Logan addresses Taoist emphasis on observation and respect for nature, as well as Taoist principles, such as the harmonious interplay of universal opposites. And as romantic artists of the nineteenth century, he paints to evoke a sense of the sublime, expressing mystery, majesty, and coarse emotions.
