The National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires presents "Painting and memory»Carlos Alonso - one of the most influential artists of the Argentine art of the last century.

This exposition is a retrospective view that seeks to establish the relationship between the formal, conceptual and thematic elements that constantly appear in the aesthetics of the artist.

The exhibition is built on two thematic areas. The section “Reality and Memory” presents paintings reflecting the civil-military dictatorship of Argentina and its consequences for the social structure of the country, as well as the author’s commitment to reality and politics.
