The work is made in oil pastel technique. It exists at the junction of the styles of Nicholas Roerich and Hundertwasser, which makes it unique as an example of the juxtaposition of the seemingly incompatible.
A symbolic hypostasis is also discernible. We see how the dark side of the mountain is imitated by the silhouette of a bird, seeking to escape through the portal.
