Biography and information

  Edit
Hello! My name is Julia Quiet, I'm 23 and I'm a self-taught artist.

My interest in drawing was awakened in early childhood. I studied for 4 years in a fine arts studio until I was 10-11, but then I decided to go “free flight”. I didn't want to go to art school at all. Why? I just never liked strict frames, I didn't like drawing something on assignment. As a result, up to the present day, I continue to create and study on my own, the way I need it.

For me, drawing is a way of self-expression, a way to convey my thoughts, feelings, fleeting sensations. That is why I loved the work of impressionist artists so much. The incredible paintings of Levitan, Monet, Korovin and many other great creators always made me feel something special, and I wanted to learn how to convey my images so that they at least remotely resemble their works.

The elusive beauty of the moment is what I try to betray in my paintings. It fascinates me when you drive in a car, look out the window, a field, a forest, small houses sweep by ... Or any other most ordinary landscape that you could see hundreds of times. And suddenly everything around is colored by the rays of the setting sun, which completely changes the usual picture, and you want time to stop so that you can admire this view for even a fraction of a second.

This is an indescribable feeling that is difficult to describe in words. But the picture of what you saw and the feeling itself are permanently imprinted in your mind. This happens to me too. This is my inspiration, my magic of the moment.
