The Museum of Modern Art is a municipal art gallery in Freiburg im Breisgau, opened in 1985.
The Freiburg Museum Fund presents works created within the framework of various artistic movements of the 20th — 21st centuries: from classical modernism to contemporary art. The museum also regularly hosts temporary thematic exhibitions of works by contemporary authors - both famous and beginners.
The collection contains a significant collection of works by expressionists and representatives of new movements.
Among the authors of the works there are such artists as Lionel Feininger, Otto Dix, Erich Heckel, Karl Hofer, August Macke, Rudolf Dieschinger and Willy Baumeister, as well as Emil Schumacher, Karl Otto Goetz and Ruprecht Geiger.
