The history of the Ishim Museum of Local Lore begins its countdown in 1923. The first decades of his work included the first experience of the formation of local history and the tragic events that repeatedly nullified the beginnings of enthusiasts. In 1957, the museum underwent official disbandment, and after many years of oblivion, only in 1991 did the “rebirth” of the Ishim Museum of Local Lore take place.
Currently, the Ishim Museum of Local Lore has a rich collection of exhibits reflecting the cultural and historical identity of the region and the city and, no less important, the museum is a cultural center that combines the research of a large number of talented local historians of Ishim and several other cities of the Tyumen region.
