End of the Golden era. Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Viennese modernism

In 2018 in Europe, held an exhibition dedicated to 100-anniversary of the death of two major artists of the turn of XIX and XX centuries – Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. In the collection of the National gallery in Prague includes some of their key works – "Virgo" and "water Castle" by Klimt and "Pregnant woman and death", "still life with flowers", "Dead city" and drawings "Seated Nude" and "Seated woman with bent knee" pain.

A new exhibition "End of the Golden era" on the fourth floor of the Exhibition Palace in Prague demonstrates the influence of Klimt and Schiele in the history of the acquisition of individual works. The show is supplemented by the works of their famous and forgotten contemporaries and followers on the Vienna art scene – Josef Hoffman, Emil Orlik, Alfred Kubin, Karl Otto Czechs, Richard Tesner, Oskar Kokoschka and max Oppenheimer.
