Paul Klee. Abstract measurement

Exhibition"Paul Klee. Abstract dimension" the Fondation Beyeler is the first attempt to widely display the previously little-studied page of the art glue — abstraction. The transition from figurative art to abstract art began in the first half of the last century, a key issue for many European artists. The Swiss Paul Klee answered this challenge: amongst almost 10 thousand works created by him in the course of life, there are a number of fine examples of abstract painting.

A retrospective exhibition of 110 works created in all periods of his creative career artist, beginning in 1912. Besides the well-known masterpieces, you can see the rarely exhibited paintings that show the glue in a miraculous new light.

The exhibition presents works from the collection of the Beyeler Foundation and the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, the new York MOMA, the Museum of fine arts Basel, Paris Centre Georges Pompidou, the Metropolitan Museum, other galleries and private collections.
